La grêle

I’m at work right now on a national holiday here.  There’s no one around.  I was here yesterday as well, only the library was actually closed then.  Anyways, I was in the basement shelving books, when all of the sudden I heard a noise from behind the door in the wall.  Yes, you read that right, the door in the wall which, coincidentally, leads to the sewers underneath Paris.  I stopped shelving books, went upstairs, and didn’t venture back downstairs until today, when I wasn’t the only one around.

I’m convinced that if there’s a zombie apocalypse I’ll be the first to go, since they will, without a doubt, climb out of the sewers to eat us.

I always have pretty pleasant thoughts at work, huh?

By the way, I was going to post a picture of myself at work as a librarian today, and then I saw my hair.  It randomly hailed while I was walking to the library from the metro stop.  I look like a hot mess.  I guess it fits with the Halloween theme at this time of year?

I can’t BELIEVE that you didn’t explore!!! Miss Catacombs! Granted, catacombs ≠ sewers. But still. What an opportunity! Aah!

No way would I go in there! Whenever i’m shelving books down there scary noises come from behind the door! Plus, that’s probably where all the drugged out weirdos live… I like life, thank you very much!
