Marché de Noël

To celebrate my being almost done with everything (and to take a break from homework) last weekend, The Husband and I headed over to the Christmas market on the Champs-Elysées.  Now, while it’s not nearly as cute and authentic as the markets in Strasbourg (seriously, go.  Just go.), they’re still pretty awesome!  Not to mention they’re a nice break from the dead spot that usually is this area…

It’s hard to be away from family for Christmas — luckily we have cool things like this to see so that we can keep our minds off it!  Also, if anyone has any recommendations of where to get good popcorn in Paris, I’m all ears.  Someone *cough me* has been having some serious withdrawals since we had to leave our Whirley Pop behind in America.  It’s only two years…..

Not pictures is the worlds ugliest Christmas tree put up by the city at Place de la Concorde.  I didn’t want to blind you with the ugly.  Seriously though, that’s one thing Americans do better — huge not gaudy trees!
