Fontainebleau: Jardins

While the immensity of the castle itself is impressive, even more impressive are the gardens.  We spent a fair amount of time walking around, stuffing our faces (we do love a good picnic….) and generally frolicking (when there are fields and bridges involved,  who can resist?), but the sad thing was that we only found time to visit the lake, the English garden, the French garden, and the pond next to the old stables.  No canal.  No woods.

Obviously, we’ll have to take one for the team and go back to fit in the rest…  And now…. enjoy some lake shots!
